Sam Jones enlisted in the Army on June 1st, 2007. He shipped out to Basic Training in Fort Benning, GA on July 26th. This blog is a way for friends and family to stay connected with him while he is away.

Prayer Requests
Sam has asked prayer for the following:
1) Strength: the days are long and the nights are short. Please pray that the Lord will give me strength to carry on.
2) Lonliness: separation is hard! Please pray that the Lord will be my comfort and that the days will go quickly. (You can ask this for Rebekah, too!!)
3) Testimony: many of the guys I'm with use foul and crude language. Pray that my mind will remain pure and the Lord will protect me. Pray that I may be a shining light to those around me.

Sam and Rebekah! I don't know if I and my family will be able to attend yet but I pray we will...
